Germán es Ingeniero de Sistemas y Magíster en Ingeniería de Sistemas y Computación de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia (Unal). Actualmente, es estudiante del programa de Doctorado en Ingeniería Eléctrica en la Unal. Su investigación está enmarcada en el procesamiento de imágenes médicas; específicamente, en el diseño de estrategias para permitir el acceso e interacción con grandes volúmenes de datos de manera efectiva y eficiente. Sus aficiones incluyen: la programación, los videojuegos, la fotografía y viajar. Sus intereses profesionales son: Ingeniería de software, Sistemas de información médica, Desarrollo web y móvil, Desarrollo de videojuegos e Inteligencia artificial.
